SFPA U

Improving Food Safety and Quality in the Workplace

SFPA U Annual Conference / March 7th-8th, 2012

presented at: University of Georgia

Program:

This program is designed for employees of food processors, both members and potential members of SFPA, to enhance and update their knowledge in the various food safety facets of the rapidly changing food processing industry.  There is a continued need to improve food safety and quality and optimize existing and new processes.

Today there is a need to understand the basics of food microbiology and allergens and the necessary cleaning and sanitizing procedures to remove their threats.  A well designed product recall system needs to be in place should you need it while an understanding of past food safety incidents can help you avoid issues in the future.  Better Process Control can help you consistently deliver high quality products to you customer.

Come hear the real challenges the FDA has faced and learn how to avoid the mistakes made by others.

The day and a half program is designed to update your employees with the most current information in the areas and send them home with a greater understanding of how to meet the challenges of today’s fast paced industry.

Objectives:

  • Present process instructional information by instructors who are experts in their field and with many years of actual experience.
  • Add value to your SFPA membership…this will be SFPA’s second annual educational seminar and available only through the SFPA.
  • Establish a continuous SFPA learning program developed for and by SFPA members.
  • Provide a learning opportunity for SFPA members at an excellent value.
